The last entry - for now

Finally, it's time to depart. Since we've heard from Johanna about some workers' strikes blocking the road to Changuinola ("Thou shalt not pass, but we can't tell you what the strike is actually about."), we decide to go three nights before our plane actually leaves.

But the voyage is free of any unforeseen events, we cross the border to Costa Rica and we arrive in Cahuita once more already on the first afternoon. There we spend a relaxed evening and a quiet blogging day, and prepare our backpacks for the rough handling that is to be expected on the flight with its three stop-overs (Our route is Costa Rica - Dominican Republic - Frankfurt - Vienna. Yay. But it was by far the most affordable solution.)

Then it's check-out, lunch, first bus to Limón, second bus to San José, and (after a brief food-supply-buying phase) a third bus to the airport.

By now, it's 8 o'clock in the evening, and the airport is likeaall the other airports anywhere else. Built with a maximum of discomfort in mind, with one 24-hour-Café, and utterly soulless. Since  the check-in for our flight starts at 5 o'clock in the morning, we have only 9 hours left to.. well, I'll call it sleep for lack of a better word.

Ah, the delights of airports at night.
Good night, and I hope to see a lot of you quite soon.
